Chirp
Today I am grateful for the simple joy of hearing birds outside. The weather may have turned cold again but the birds are chirping away, and it's a beautiful reminder that spring really isn't too far off.
Birds are also one of my favorite jewelry motifs. Here are a few Etsy pieces I'm loving:

Happy Weekend

Boy, am I tired today. I'm so glad the weekend is nearly here. I'm up for some serious relaxation! And thanks to this adorable print by Love Sugar, I'm reminded that I should make time for hanging out with my favorite peeps.
Have a great weekend!

Bird Watching
I woke up to the most glorious sound today: birds chirping. What a great way to start a morning! And why not continue on with some great bird-inspired finds on Etsy?

Flights of Fancy
I am absolutely taken with the Allison Trentelman's bird photography at NatureMandalas. Her images capture such breathtaking moments in time. And the snowy world her birds inhabit seems like a quietly magical place.

A Cut Up
What first struck me about the cut-paper artwork by Angie Pickman at ruralpearl is its stark, graphic quality. I love the sharp black against the crisp white. But on further inspection, I noticed quieter, gentler, more whimsical details. A little coffee cup for a bird. A single key dangling from a tree branch. Stars strung from the night sky. What a delight!

Lovely, Lovely Birds
Today's bird indulgence comes from the San Francisco artist collective Little Pink Houses, via sfgirlbybay, one of my absolute favorite blogs and a constant source of inspiration.
I love the graphic quality of this work, the individuality given to each bird and how the birds seem to be conversing with one another (kinda like the Brady Bunch did, no?).

Tweet, Tweet
No, this isn't a post about Twitter! That phenomenon hasn't appealed to me just yet.

A gorgeous art print.
What does still appeal to me are birds -- and the jewelry, accessories and works of art inspired by them. I did another search for tweety stuff on Etsy. Here are a few things that caught my eye.

This pretty silver and pearl bracelet.

A vibrant, graphic yellow clutch.

These delicate hair pins.

Bird (on the) Brain
"Guess what I've gotten really into," my sister said to me a few springs ago. "Birds," she answered before I could guess. I didn't undertand it at the time. I do now.
A map painting by Rachel Austin.
A necklace by Tryst.
A tote by Rainbow Swirlz.
A pair of earrings by Iris Jewelry Design.
A T-shirt by B. Hive Designs.
Birds are absolutely intriguing to watch. They show such personality as they go about their day. I've enjoyed watching them find our yard over the past few days.
Inspired, I did a search for birds on Etsy. Here are a few wonderful items that I found:
