I'm so excited for the weekend to start. I'm getting together with some of my best girlfriends, and other than that the next few days are wide open. Who knows what they'll bring. I can't wait!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Girl Time
We are back from our girls getaway, and what a fantastic time we had! It was so nice to truly spend time together, in a way friends don't often have a chance to when life is busy. In our little hotel room we crammed together, gabbing and snacking and listening to music like we were teenagers again. We survived a somewhat treacherous kayak trip, and followed the ordeal with an afternoon of wine tasting. We literally danced the night away at a dive bar and spent the next day strolling the charming town and browsing its shops and lakefront. We goofed around, told stories, shared challenges and encouraged one another. In other words, we had perfect girl time.

Girl Time
Today, I am grateful for the small but delightful fact that the E! network has been playing reruns of Sex and the City. I'd forgotten how great that show is, especially the older episodes. Watching Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha navigate love, sex, relationships, friendships and life in New York City feels like reconnecting with old friends! It's making me think about all the adventures I've had with my girls.

So Excited
I feel like I'm ready to burst, like I'm about to fly off my seat and run out the door and start the weekend. That's because this weekend is going to be filled with lots of silly girl fun.
But first I'm going out to dinner tonight with my girlfriends from work. One is getting married next weekend, so this is a little celebration for her -- not to mention just a great excuse to have a little fun outside the office!
I hope the weekend brings lots of great fun for everyone!

One of my best friends is coming home for the weekend. She moved out of state a few weeks ago to follow her heart and try an adventure. I am happy and excited for her but have missed her like crazy! It will be so nice to spend time together again.

And also this weekend another girlfriend is throwing herself a bachelorette party. But here's the wonderful catch. She's not getting married. She's not even dating anyone. But she figured, why wait until she's engaged to celebrate being single and having great friends.
I can't wait for the weekend to start. So when I saw this great print by Juliane Eirich on 20x200, I thought, "Yes, that's it! That's exactly how I feel."
I hope the weekend brings lots of great fun for everyone!

Four-Ever
There are three special girls in my life whom I've been friends with since the third grade.

The four of us have seen each other through ups and downs, phases, fashion choices good and bad, and many accomplishments. As we've spread out and moved around we've had as many girls' weekends around the country as we've been able to hold. And one amazing get-together took place yesterday and will continue this weekend.
I am so fortunate to have these smart, funny, beautiful, successful, kind and encouraging women in my life -- and I am confident that I always will.
Here's to great girlfriends!
