Monday

I realize a lot of people dread Monday, but I quite like the day. While I don't always want to start a new workweek, I love the sense of beginning the day brings. It's a crisp, fresh start, a new chance to get something done or get something right. Are you ready for it?

Monday Motivation

It's Monday morning, and I'm exhausted! But it's a good tired because this weekend was so much fun. The gala on Friday night was great (and my sparkly dress and red shoes worked perfectly), and going to the big football game with my friends on Saturday was a blast. And yesterday my husband and I went for a long bike ride. Since I'm dragging a bit this morning, I thought I'd kick off the workweek with some motivation courtesy of words and images found on Pinterest.

Moody Monday

I had a sort of wonderfully selfish weekend. Since my husband was away at a conference, I had a fun girls night out, went to brunch with my sister and our two best childhood friends, and cuddled with the pup while reading and watching movies. Now, it's Monday morning and a huge storm has rolled in. Just like having a weekend to myself every now and again, I like when a thunderstorm disrupts a sunny summer once in awhile. The sky turns dark and thunder shakes the house, and everything feels a little mysterious and moody. It's not a bad way to start a new week.

Oh, Happy Day

My, this weekend flew by! I can hardly recount how I spent the hours but they sure seemed to go by quickly. But while I can't say I was ready for the work week to start, I don't want to be a person who grumbles about Mondays. Poor Mondays. They really are the most unappreciated day, aren't they?

Well, I want to stay as positive as possible about them and the start of a new work week. And this sunny print by Samantha Hahn (available at The Shiny Squirrel) seems like the perfect reminder.

Morning, Sunshine

It's Monday morning. Early Monday morning. And I am up and at 'em. Seriously, what is going on? 

Maybe if I could catch gorgeous sunrises like in this beautiful photo every morning, this early-bird business would be a regular occurrence.

Monday Musing

Oh, I wasn't ready for this weekend to be over! 

So when I saw this great print by Shaun Sundholm on the fantastic site 20x200, I thought, "yes, let's do!" 

I want to run outside and enjoy this sunny day! And getting lost in this gorgeous day would be absolutely wonderful.
