Happy Weekend!

This weekend, the weather is supposed to be gorgeous. I hope to spend some time doing nothing other than lounging by my parents' pool. I recently bought a maternity swimsuit and will try to feel glamorous, not huge, while wearing it.

A Girl!

My husband and I just went to our first ultrasound -- and found out we're having a girl! We couldn't be more excited. It was amazing to see her little nose and feet and to hear her heartbeat. We are so in love with her already. Now we're thinking about what we'll name her and dreaming about what she'll be like. We're over the moon!

Happy News

I'm excited to share that my husband and I are expecting! After the ups and downs of last spring, we couldn't be happier about this pregnancy. I'm just into the second trimester now, and starting to feel less exhausted and queasy, which is wonderful. I've started wearing some maternity clothes, and Will and I have been making plans for the baby's room. It's all really exciting!

Grateful

Since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been a storm of emotions. I'm totally excited and then completely overwhelmed. So as this week wraps up, I'm especially thankful for:

* My friends who have been nothing but happy and supportive, and especially my friend Kelly who left me the most perfect message right when I needed it.

* My mom and sister who have offered advice, love, a sense of humor, non-judgmental ears and a fun shopping trip for dresses and tops to accommodate a growing belly.

* My month-old nephew for helping me keep in mind what I have to look forward to at the end of nine months. He's the best, most adorable perspective!

* Cute onesies to remind me of the little bug who'll be wearing things like this.
