I couldn’t help but think of the amazing painting, Paris Street: Rainy Day, by Gustave Caillebotte. I admire it every time I see it at the Art Institute of Chicago, my all-time favorite art museum. I love how wet the stone streets look, and they way passersby seem to be seeing their city anew.Photo from here.
