Thinking Pink

Well, our due date came and went last week and our little girl is showing no signs of arriving. I like to think she's comfy and cozy and just taking her time. Of course, we're so excited to meet her and having a hard time waiting!

Maybe because my mind is on the baby, I am drawn to gorgeous shades of pink even more than usual. I love all these paintings by Vancouver artist Zoe Pawlak. She is incredibly versatile but there's something beautiful that connects all her work.

I realize a lot of people dread Monday, but I quite like the day. While I don't always want to start a new workweek, I love the sense of beginning the day brings. It's a crisp, fresh start, a new chance to get something done or get something right. Are you ready for it?

Surprises

I love when an artwork's medium surprises me, when the materials an artist used to create a work aren't what they appear to be. That was the case with these pieces by Shane McAdams. He used the humble ball-point pen to make these paintings. Aren't they incredible?
