Purple Love

While we didn't have many plans for the weekend, the past few days certainly kept us busy! I had a great time at a friend's wedding shower and a family dinner, my husband and I made progress on house projects and we capped the weekend with a nice outdoor dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. We also fit in time to go to a homes tour that's held in our city each summer. One house in particular caught our attention, an interesting place decorated with shades of purple and glam touches. Here are a few quick photos I snapped:

Pretty in Purple

One of my childhood friends adored the color purple. Whenever she got to choose the color of something, purple was it. I'm going to see her next week -- I'll have to ask if it's still her preferred shade.

Perhaps I should also point her toward the lovely Lakeshore Drive house by the immensely talented Angie Hranowsky Design Studio. From the pale lavender of an entry bench to the deep plum of a dining room chair, the house is so right. And the art-filled living room? Don't even get me started. Perfection! I guess we're all born with pretty specific preferences.

Score!

I just picked up these plum Nina satin "Electra" sandals today at DSW. Total: $37. You can't beat that for a pretty pair of peep-toes! I'm excited to wear them with a cocktail dress or jeans and a tank. I may even figure out a way to wear them to work.
