Not So Fast, Fall

As part of my resistance to summer soon ebbing away into autumn, I took a look at Cynthia Steffe’s spring 2009 line.

The luscious blue hues, the girly florals, the frothy frocks … oooh, I am just not ready to let these go.

Spring Style

It may sound silly, but for some reason, I cannot get the images from J.Crew's March catalog out of my head. The pale, pretty colors ... the soft and silky fabrics ... the ruffled edges ... the floral and bauble necklaces ... I am loving it all! And the lovely San Francisco settings are the perfect complement.

Spring Forward

Today was gorgeous -- sunny skies, warm weather, everyone out and about -- the kind of day that hints at the loveliness to come with spring.

Also encouraging were many of the looks shown in the spring 2009 ready-to-wear collections. Ballet-slipper pinks, sheer sherberts, watercolor blues and greens and lots of whites and creams -- these hues seem so right at the moment, and the perfect complements to flowy skirts, off-the-shoulder tops and girly embellishments.
