I love when an artwork's medium surprises me, when the materials an artist used to create a work aren't what they appear to be. That was the case with these pieces by Shane McAdams. He used the humble ball-point pen to make these paintings. Aren't they incredible?

Oh I love these! I have never seen anything like them! The pink one is my favorite- it kind of reminds me of jellyfish.
